Mercer Spring built its business on the electrical components industry. Beginning in the 1950’s our very first customer was Westinghouse Electric. From there, this segment of our business continued to grow and today remains a core segment of our business. We are experienced leaders in the small electrical components market; manufacturing compression, extension and torsion springs to our customer’s specifications. As with our automotive customers, PPAP’s are available upon request. We can accommodate a production run from as few as a handful of pieces, for a specialized application, to high volume production runs. Our combination coiling and looping machines can reconfigure a compression spring into an extension spring with side loops in an easy automated 2-step process. Applications include but are not limited to:

• Residential circuit breaker springs

• Commercial circuit breaker springs

• Relays

• Switches for lighting
